SHOP 'TILL YOU DROP

Lunettic is back

We lost the entire site along with the server it lived on. What survived fit in one backup folder — and that is what the brand is being rebuilt from.

Heavy-lined sphynx cat on a pink ground, between a spiralling checkerboard and a fan of white rays

The Lunettic site went down with the server that hosted it. Not one page — all of it: catalogue, orders, history, the photos we spent months shooting. Nothing that was live survived.

What did survive was a design folder. The original mockups, the identity in vector, the key visuals and the brand's two typefaces. It sounds like very little and it is not: you can rebuild an entire brand from that, as long as you accept that you are rebuilding rather than pretending nothing happened.

What changes

The shop now runs on new infrastructure, with stock and payment in a single place. That fixes the root of the old problem, which was having too much depend on one server.

The look does not change. The pink is still the pink, the cat still stares back, and no rounded corner is going to show up anywhere.

What is next

The site comes back first. Then the shop opens. If you want a heads-up before that, the sign-up is on the home page — same form as always, and we still do not send spam.
